The LCAS team has announced they are recruiting for their Summer Research Internship programme!
L-CAS is offering these research opportunities primarily to students of the University of Lincoln who are currently enrolled in one of the taught degree programmes. The opportunity is a summer internship, working directly with one or more of their research team to advance the state of the art in robotics. While this is mostly targeted at undergraduate students enrolled at the University of Lincoln, they may accept outstanding talents who are already engaged in post-graduate studies or are students at other universities. Please discuss specifics with the researcher proposing the project you apply for. They have a range of robotics, AI and ML challenges to contribute to. Just check the opportunities below.
If you are successful with your application, you will benefit from access to our extensive research facilities, infrastructure and robotic platform, direct involvement with and mentoring by our research team, and a certificate of completion for your CV. They are currently not able to offer renumeration for these interships, but you will also be entered into the “L-CAS best student project award” competition, comprising a prize and additional recognition of your contribution. The winner of this award will be announced at our L-CAS away day in September, where all interns will also be invited.
They have devised a quite light-weight application process. All you need to do is pick one (or more) of the opportunities listed below, and either fill a form online or email the researcher named in the project description. You should include a brief summary of the relevant bits of your CV and a (very) short statement about why this opportunity is good for you. They also ask for your earliest and latest availability. Usually, they expect these project to run over the summer, i.e., start no earlier than the end of the exam period and to end before the new semester starts.
If you have questions about a specific project, please contact the researcher named in the respective project description by Teams or Email.
