The University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint two technicians to support the work of the School of Computer Science. These posts will focus on the teaching and learning aspects, and student support.

One of the Technicians will have a Systems focus. As well as the normal day-to-day technician duties the successful applicant to this post will focus on student facing support including systems such as card entry, lab monitoring, the student virtual learning environment (Blackboard), student management systems, server support, additional student payments systems, marketing and PR including social media and panel screens, development of archiving and ghosting systems and network connectivity.

The other Technician will have an Events focus. As well as the normal day-to-day technician duties the successful applicant to this post will focus on facilitating student facing support including out-of-hours access, Gamejam and Hackathon-type events, bookings and support for open days, welcome week, showcase events, and in-class tests, support for workshop activities such as robotics and mobile computing.

Working in a multi-skilled team, the post holders will be encouraged to specialise in and develop their designated areas but also on occasion to shadow the work of each other to broaden their skills and provide cover across the provision of the School.
